Last weekend I went up to the James River State Park in Virginia for the annual RoofTop Tent Rally put on by Blue Ridge Overland Gear(B.R.O.G).
Back in 2017 I went to the inaugural event and had an absolute blast! This time was no different. I like this event because it’s smaller than Overland Expo East and feels more intimate.
This time I went on a hike down by the river and found a great spot to sit and reflect. Given the size of the event when I was down at the river I didn’t see or hear anyone for almost an hour and it was amazing!
I’m looking forward to going back next year, making new friends and seeing old friends! Here are some photos I took over the course of the weekend. James River State Park is also a certified Dark Sky site. Unfortunately none of my sky pics really came out. I did get one good one with my iPhone.
