Print. Your. Pictures

If you’re like me you have a phone that probably has thousands of pictures. From random snaps out and about to composed shots that you absolutely love. How often do you look at them? For me, I rarely ever go back and scroll through them.

In my last post I mentioned that I’d moved to a new place and as part of that I wanted to have more stuff on my walls. I thought about buying some prints and I have picked up a couple that I liked but they were expensive. Then I remembered the 7k+ pictures I have on my phone and the over 10k that I have on my backup drive. Surely there’s something in there I could use, right? Then I thought it would be pretty self centered to print my own **and** hang them on my wall. Now, I’m not talking about family photos and the like. I’m talking about my “art” photographs, the ones that I’ve taken with composition and a specific look in mind.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t but I but I’ve come to realize that I only want things around me that make me happy and a lot of pictures I’ve taken make me really happy and proud to have captured them!

So I started looking at how to get them printed, framed and shipped to me without breaking the bank. First I bought a Liene M100 4×6 printer and got to work. It puts out absolutely amazing prints very quickly but I was limited to 4×6 prints and I wanted something bigger. Plus I’d have to find frames for the ones I wanted to hang up.

That led me to Mixtiles and was able to take advantage of one of their many sales/promotions. I’m very, very happy with what they sent me and the magnetic mounting system is great since I’m in an apartment and I’d really like to avoid putting holes in the walls.

I really can’t put into words how happy it makes me seeing these photos that I’ve captured hanging on my walls. I’m reminded of when and where I was when I took them, what camera I used and how happy I was when I first saw them off camera.
